Idlehurst Learning Collective is a farm-based enrichment co-op for K4–8th grade, combining traditional academics with hands-on learning in nature, gardening, animal care, and farm life. With certified teachers, small class sizes, and flexible 2–4 day options, we nurture the whole child—mind, body, and heart.
Idlehurst Learning Collective fosters personalized education, a strong work ethic, and character development
through farm-based learning grounded in community, reflection, and meaningful, hands-on experiences.
No single curriculum fits every child, and no two children learn the same way. That’s why we take a thoughtful, child-centered approach—drawing from a variety of curricula to meet diverse learning styles and needs. Our program incorporates resources such as Singapore Math, Blossom and Root, The Good and the Beautiful, and others to create a well-rounded, personalized educational experience.
We pride ourselves on our sense of community. We have a welcoming and inclusive culture and encourage our students to support and encourage one another. We also regularly organize social events, monthly fieldtrips, and activities for our students to bond and have fun.

Not at all! We believe children grow and learn at their own pace. Our mixed-age environment and flexible curriculum allow us to meet students where they are—whether they’re ahead, behind, or right on track. We focus on individual growth and strengths, not rigid benchmarks.
We operate on a part-time hybrid model. Students attend structured learning sessions on select weekdays (please inquire for current scheduling) with options for additional enrichment through our Co-Op Fridays and seasonal programs.
Each day includes a blend of academic work, outdoor exploration, creative projects, and farm-based activities. We emphasize movement, curiosity, and meaningful connection over rigid routines.
We strive to keep tuition accessible and offer flexible payment plans. Please email theidlehurst@gmail.com for the most current tuition rates and options.
