Idlehurst Learning Collective is a farm-based microschool for K4–6th grade, combining traditional academics with hands-on learning in nature, gardening, animal care, and farm life. With certified teachers, small class sizes, and flexible 2–4 day options, we nurture the whole child—mind, body, and heart.
Idlehurst Learning Collective fosters personalized education, a strong work ethic, and character development
through farm-based learning grounded in community, reflection, and meaningful, hands-on experiences.
No single curriculum fits every child, and no two children learn the same way. That’s why we take a thoughtful, child-centered approach—drawing from a variety of curricula to meet diverse learning styles and needs. Our program incorporates resources such as Singapore Math, Blossom and Root, The Good and the Beautiful, and others to create a well-rounded, personalized educational experience.
We pride ourselves on our sense of community. We have a welcoming and inclusive culture and encourage our students to support and encourage one another. We also regularly organize social events, monthly fieldtrips, and activities for our students to bond and have fun.
