Student Mercantile
The Idlehurst Student Mercantile is a one-of-a-kind, student-run farm stand that brings learning to life. Nearly every item our shelves — from jellies and tallow to herbs, seasonal produce, and handmade gifts — is created or curated by students. Purchases support both their education and the growth of our community.

Learning in Action
Through the Mercantile, students gain real-world experience in entrepreneurship, agriculture, and stewardship. They set pricing, track inventory, calculate profit and loss, and collaborate on decisions about how to reinvest their earnings into future farm projects — whether that’s expanding the garden, upgrading tools, or creating new educational spaces.
It’s hands-on learning that connects classroom lessons to life skills — rooted in responsibility, creativity, and teamwork.
Store Hours
- Monday–Friday: 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Sunday: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Students and school or lesson families are welcome to shop during pick-up and drop-off hours.
